Ciao a Tutti!
Thank you for your interest in An Italian Dish. I am so happy to meet you!

What do I love about Italy?  Warm gnocchi, chocolate gelato, train rides through sunflower fields, bridges over rivers, grilled artichokes, outdoor markets, and eating an entire pizza for lunch.  I love the fact that names of cheeses and pizzas are protected by law.

In Italy there is a reverence for local ingredients and pride in the preparation of each dish. I am interested in the use of local food and humane farming practices. I guess that is the California girl in me.

My blog centers around traditional Italian dishes that are naturally vegetarian - eggplant parmigiana, Aglio, Olio e Peperoncino, Pesto alla Genovese, Potato Gnocchi, myriad pasta and risotto dishes - the list goes on.

I long to share information, stories and recipes with you, my faithful readers, so together, we will become drenched in the slow, Italian life. We may not be able to travel to Italy at this time, but we can create beautiful Italian flavors right at home. Stay tuned!

By subscribing to An Italian Dish, I’ll send my two E-Books, Tuscan Desserts and Naturally Italian Vegetable Dishes and Condiments. You will also receive the latest blog posts and newsletters directly to your inbox.

Thanks for your interest in everything Italian.
